I'll overwhelm 'serious boxer' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight-round fight which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming bout.

Former two time unified boxing king Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Attitude

"I'm going to damage his features and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to seriously aim to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Exchange

In spite of such comments, a calm Joshua and social media star Paul - usually recognized for his showmanship - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul instead criticized ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK rival Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer commented.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he said.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since turning professional.

He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

However, the relative newcomer continues to be one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, consistently making substantial paydays.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old anticipated a KO victory in rounds four or five and asserted he would stop the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently in the works for 2026.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.

Size Difference

As both boxers engaged in the usual confrontation, with their size difference on show, it drove home just how improbable this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the match is truly going ahead.
